My name is Julia Simon and I’m a public radio journalist from California. I have worked for APM’s Marketplace, PRI’s The World, NPR News, and BBC News.
In 2009 I graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Middle Eastern Languages and History. In 2010-2011 I was a Henry Luce Scholar based in Indonesia.
I recently received a Fulbright Research Grant to study the oil and gas sector in Nigeria.
I speak Egyptian Arabic, Indonesian, and Spanish.
